My answer:

I'm going with "I don't think any of the fans/fanbases are happy right now" because I'm not too sure anyone is happy. I know I'm not. I'm barely watching the show. When I watch now a days it is only to see James as EJ. I can't stand the storyline but I refuse to not watch James. As an EJami, I'm not happy with the current storyline. I certainly think EJamis story could have been told without an interloper in the mix. There was enough angst with just the Brady/DiMera stuff. As far as an EJ/James Scott fan I'm not happy. EJ is not what he used to be. He is a shell of his former self. He's lost his edge and has become vanilla. Right now, they have dumbed EJ down so much. Everyone around him is so much smarter and EJ is just painted as dumb. As far as James goes, I think he deserves better than the junk of a storyline he's been given. I don't feel the show is using his talents wisely. I will say that I do not blame James one bit and that he gives it his best no matter what they give him.

With all that said, instead of getting upset about this stuff I've committed myself to sending a positive message to TPTB about my favorites. I'm letting them know what I want to see and why I want to see it

Perhaps I should not speak for all fans, but I do not see anyone happy right now. As a fan of many characters, I cannot jump for joy over anyone's current s/l. Even though my favs may be getting a lot of airtime, when the s/l is unenjoyable, it is almost better when they are not on.

Tish, this thread may end up as a rant thread unless you can find SOMEONE who is happy.
